Carol Carol Favre – Facilitator Carol holds a first class BA Honors Degree in Business Administration and a Post Graduate Certificate in Conflict and Development. Carol is pursuing a MSc in Responsible Tourism Management from International Centre for Responsible Tourism & Leeds Metropolitan University. Her portfolio for special projects includes working as a consultant at West Africa Discovery (UK), APTOUR; Press Association for the Promotion of Responsible Tourism (Cameroon) and European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training (Portugal, Lithuania). She has done publications for The Hospitality Review (UK) and worked as a presenter on television shows.
Rose Rose Mukogo has worked with tourism development issues in Africa in both the public and private sectors since 1996. She has an excellent overview of the current tourism development, the challenges and barriers that it faces in the future at both national and continental levels. This experience was acquired when she was engaged by The New Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPAD) leading a team of consultants that carried out a Baseline Study, scoping and an auditing of the tourism sector in Africa. Her specialist skills base includes Institutional Strengthening, Policy Development, Human Resources Development, Marketing, Research and Product Development, Sector surveys, Strategy Development, Community-based Tourism Development Projects, Ecotourism Development, Natural Resources Management.She holds a BSc Degree in Economic and various other qualifications in Environmental Economics, Policy Analysis, Tourism Marketing Planning and Sales Management.

Rose has held a number of key Board positions with various industry related organisations.

Maud Maud Masiyiwa has spent the last three decades working in the Tourism Industry, and gaining vast amounts of working experience in the field of SMME development and training in Tourism and Hospitality from across Southern, Eastern and Western Africa. She holds both national and international qualifications in Travel and Tourism, New Venture Creation, Social Entrepreneurship, Community Development and Women Enterprise Development. Maud’s interesting journey into business started when she was contracted by an airline general sales agency to manage a private regional airline’s agency and passenger sales later taking her to being the position of co-founder and Managing Director of a retail travel agency in Johannesburg.She has committed and dedicated herself to the promotion of Sustainable and Responsible Tourism education and has worked as a facilitator, assessor, mentor and coach on a number of national and regional tourism skills development projects; like the Tourism Enterprise Partnership (TEP) National Tourism toolkit training programme, TEP National Tourism Cluster project, United Nations International Labour Organisation (UN ILO) Women Entrepreneurship Development and Gender Equality Programme. She is a passionate advocate for community based tourism, as a motivational and public speaker by addressing the industry and interested parties on this important social enterprise opportunity in Africa.

Maud is a founding Board Member of the Meadowlands Tourism Development Centre, and Ndofaya Catering School in Soweto South Africa.

She currently owns and manages Capstone Training and Development is co-owner of CTD Travel, and is also pursuing a MSc degree in Responsible Tourism Management through Leeds Metropolitan University in the UK
